New Chinese Plant Manager recruited through an Intercultural Assessment Center
Our client, a medium-sized company forming part of a larger international group, is among the market leaders in the development of high-quality drives and axles for construction equipment, escalators and moving walkways. Due to its expansion in China the company assigned interpool to recruit a Chinese plant manager for a newly opened factory in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.
Due to the fact that the designated candidate should have gained experience in Europe, and ideally in Germany, the search process was extended to cover China, Germany, England, and France simultaneously. After having successfully approached and pre-selected the candidates via skype and telephone, interpool developed an intercultural assessment center tailored specifically to the needs of this China-related position in manufacturing. In the end one candidate came out successful, whom at first none of the company representatives had seen as the favourite.
