interpool reviews assessment processes at Deutsche Telekom
As part of its global talent acquisition and development activities, Deutsche Telekom group has designed thorough Assessment Centers procedures in order to identify the best possible employees both internally and externally. In order to reduce any eventual cultural bias in these processes, and with the target of promoting diversity and innovation even more deliberately in their assessment procedures, Interpool was assigned by Deutsche Telekom Group with two initiatives: in a first step the behavioral descriptions behind every Telekom competency and leadership principle were reviewed and - if need existed - adjusted to a culturally sensitive and more inclusive format, welcoming candidates from any given background into the organization. In a second step, Telekom HR professionals were trained on those anchors and given additional intercultural background and tools for their global assessment processes.
